Carrots are a crunchy powerhouse that is extremely rich in Vitamin A and provides a wide range of other health benefits. It contains a high amount of beta-carotene which gives it the characteristics of bright orange colour. This chemical compound found in carrots are partly metabolized into Vitamin A during digestion and this process can be greatly improved by cooking or pulping.

Not only that, it is also one of the most commonly eaten food with a wide range of preparation methods. It can be eaten raw as a snack, salad, juiced, cooked etc. Carrots are usually crisp and sweet when raw and soft and moist when cooked.

Carrots can be found at almost everywhere, not only it is easy to get, it is also rather cheap. You can usually find them in Supermarkets or some Wet Market Stalls. One of the ways I like to eat them is as snacks, washed and uncooked. Just take note, once you start eating them as snacks, you may get addicted. Alternatively, you may like to prepare them cooked or pulped to maximize the nutritional benefits of carrots.
